Day 3 Chicago - Springfield (Illinois) - 321 Km
Pick up the motorhome. Today you will head to Springfield via Route 66. On the way, you can enjoy coffee and lunch at an American classic, and visit the Lincoln Tomb State Historic Site, the final resting place of Abraham Lincoln and Lincoln's New Salem State Historic Site. The reconstruction of the village where Abraham Lincoln lived in his twenties.
Day 4 Springfield (Illinois) - Springfield (Missouri) - 442 Km
Today depart for the banks of the Mississippi River and St. Louis, where a visit to the top of the tallest monument, The Gateway Arch, representing Thomas Jefferson's vision for westward expansion of the United States,is recommended. Continue to Lone Elk Park, where you can enjoy a wildlife area that includes bison, elk and deer before heading to Route 66 State Park.
Day 5 Springfield (Missouri) - Tulsa - 289 Km
Your journey today is through the heart of America to the city of Tulsa. It is worth stopping in Joplin, the city hideout of famous criminal couple Bonnie and Clyde. Arrive in Tulsa, onceknown as the "Oil Capital of the World," now home to the largest and most comprehensive collection of art and artifacts of the American West housed in the Gilcrease Museum. You can enjoy live music in the evening at any of the city's venues.
Day 6 Tulsa - Oklahoma City - 177 Km
Depart on the legendary Route 66 to Oklahoma City. Much of Route 66 is a living museum of old motels, iconic bar restaurants and landmarks. En route visit the Sapulpa Historical Museum, the memorable Lincon's Motel and the Route 66 Interpretive Center. Arriving in Oklahoma City, check out the clothing store in Stockyard City, the National Cowboy Museum, the American Banjo Museum and the lively Bricktown neighborhood.
Day 7 Oklahoma City - Elk City - 177 Km
A last view of Oklahoma City, a small but beautiful city with a special charm, before leaving again on Route 66 to Elk City. This part of the route is full of typical villages. You can taste the delicious beef burger and onion in the town of Reno or eat at the historic Lucilles Roadhouse in Weatherford and see the most typical museums of Route 66, Clinton and Elk City.
Day 8 Elk City - Amarillo - 523 Km
Today departure from Oklahoma City to Texas City. It's a long drive, but it will be worth it as there is plenty to explore and see. Be sure to visit Palo Duro Canyon State Park, said to be the second largest canyon in the US.
Once home to the Apache, Comanche and Kiowa tribes. You can plan a visit to the Old West stables inside the canyon before heading to your destination. While in Amarillo, visit the American Quarter Horse Heritage Center, the Route 66 Historic District with specialty and antique stores, and the Cadillac Ranch, a public art and sculpture installation.
Day 9 Amarillo - Tucumcari - 257 Km
Depart Amarillo for Tucumcari, New Mexico. You will have the opportunity to visit the New Mexico Route 66 Museum at the Tucumcari Convention Center and take pictures of the famous monument and murals, scattered throughout the city. Tour the city at night to experience the colorful neon lights designed for your photo collection. Perhaps visit nearby Lake Ute or Conchas Lake State Park for hiking, finishing or picnicking where you can see wonderful scenery and a selection of wildlife, such as deer and birds.
Day 10 Tucumcari - Albuquerque - 313 Km

You'll drive a scenic route through the Santa Fe National Forest to the creative arts and culture city of Santa Fe, one of the largest art markets in the United States with more than 300 art galleries. If you want to learn about Native American heritage, visit the Eight Northern Indian Villages located north of Santa Fe.
Day 11 and 12 Albuquerque - Grand Canyon - 579 Km
Departure for a long drive to Williams / Grand Canyon. It is worth stopping in Gallup, also known as the "Indian Capital of the World" due to its location in the middle of Native American lands. Day 16 Las Vegas - Barstow Calico - 249 Km
Leaving Las Vegas behind, today you head west towards the icon of the Colorado River, the famous Hoover Dam on the border between the states of Nevada and Arizona, where you will have the opportunity to stop and take some amazing pictures of this National Park.
